This was our first "at home" day. We didn't go anywhere. The kids cozied up with their new friends:

One thing that impressed me right away about this group is that everyone arrived equipped with a book.

When I looked up from my book and found myself alone, I knew where everyone else had disappeared to...
Smoking seems to be alive and well in Europe. Luckily for us, there is no smoking inside the rental house. (When Jon went to take the picture, several of them mumbled something about "Interpol" before covering their faces. It's just tobacco, though, I promise.)
We took our customary dip in the hot tub, although calling it a "hot tub" yesterday was a misnomer. Due to a high level of traffic, it was uncovered most of the day, and was barely lukewarm. No worries- we could actually stay in longer that way.
And then there was the cava portion of the evening:

First sip

1.5 glasses later
What can I say? I rarely drink.
We had a nice dinner, then hung around again, talking, making plans for New Year's Eve, watching old videos on youtube. Jubilee invented a fun new game, which involved leaping from couch to couch.
