Dada's Birthday Letter to Zephyr

April 7, 2007

Dear Zephyr, my Little Guy,

Wow, you are three years old! I remember that when you were born, I wanted to be the best Dada ever. I had no idea how fun it would be. We dance, sing, drum, ride bikes, read books, do yoga together, and so many other things.

I love everything about you. You are so smart, like when you count, or remember lines from your books, or ask questions about everything. You are also very kind and polite. You share snacks with me, give hugs to me, and say “please” or “thank you”. You are so strong. You run and jump and pull yourself up on the playground. I have fun playing with you and watching you play.

I am glad you are excited about our new garden space. I had a garden when I was a little Boo like you. I learned so much about life and the way of nature. It was very important for me that you have that experience, also. Thank you for all of your help, shoveling dirt, hoeing, raking, and planting seeds and trees. You are a great “worker guy”. I am so proud when you want to pick and eat chard, cucumbers, green beans, beets, or tomatoes from the garden.

Zephyr, you and I will always be best friends. I am very thankful you are my son and I am very excited about all the things we will do together. For your birthday I am wishing you love, health, and happiness.

Happy Birthday! HuZaaah!

Love,

Dada
